An evening of music celebrating the 100th anniversary of Cage's birth which includes the DNK ensemble playing James Tenney's - Form 2 (In Memoriam John Cage), Ralph van Raat playing John Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for prepared piano, music by the DNK DJ UNIT and video by Harm van den Dorpel. The DNK part of this event is free. Tickets for the Cage concert in the main hall can be purchased here.
Tenney, as well as Cage, is one of the most important composers of the 20th century. Previously DNK has curated several concerts of his music, including Having Never Written a Note for Percussion, For Ann (rising) and most notably the world premiere of Spectral Variations 1-3 for harmonic player piano, realised by Ciarán Maher and produced by DNK.

James Tenney - Form 2 (In Memoriam John Cage) DNK Ensemble in collaboration with Konzert Minimal, Berlin and Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA). A spatialized ensemble of 20 musicians plays this 17 minute memorial piece for John Cage in the foyer of the building.
