DNK Days, in collaboration with ROZENSTRAAT and San Serriffe, is delighted to present a concert under the guidance of Dante Boon. Dante is an Amsterdam based pre-eminent pianist specialising in experimental and Wandelweiser music. We invited Dante to create a program for the ROZENSTRAAT - a rose is a rose is a rose - gallery space where he will play a Rhodes piano. The Rhodes is a classic electro-mechanical keyboard, producing sound with keys and hammer, much like a piano, with metal tines replacing the piano's strings.

This concert will be in two parts, solo and with small ensemble. Dante will be joined by Germaine Sijstermans, a young Dutch clarinettist and composer, currently making waves among the quiet and gentle music circles, and Seamus Cater of DNK Days, playing duet concertina. Dante has performed, premiered and recorded an extensive range of works, most notably by Philip Corner, Rozalie Hirs, John Cage, Jürg Frey, Samuel Vriezen, Morton Feldman, Richard Ayres, Tom Johnson, and Michael Manion. As well as this he is an accomplished composer and continues to perform both nationally and abroad.
