DNK presents Pip at Budapest

Doors open at 20:00. Music starts at 20:30 sharp. Donation concert (€8 suggested).

In September we welcome Pip for a Thursday night concert at Budapest. Pip weaves long lasting sonic landscapes. From justly intonated harmonies, airy noises and slow melodies an organic music emerges, where the listener can both surrender to the sound and actively explore the multilayered sonic facets. The duo has existed since 2006 and have developed a characteristic sound and musical method encompassing improvisation and collective composition. In the last two years Pip has focused on collaborative compositions for the duo and other musicians and ensembles, resulting in Efflorescence (2025) for Ensemble Aksiom and the duo, premiered at the Only Connect festival in Trondheim, and Heliacal Waves (2026) composed for multiples organs in Amsterdam's Orgelpark accompanied by guest musicians Reinier Van Houdt, Elisabeth Smalt, Lucie Nezri, Claudio Baroni and Seamus Cater.

Torstein Lavik Larsen - self made organ modules & trumpet
Fredrik Rasten - guitars
