dj sniff (Takuro Mizuta Lippit) believes in the autonomy of the turntable as a musical instrument. He extracts and magnifies specific elements of turntable music by creating and using unique performance tools. His music merges electro-acoustic aesthetics with hip-hop turntablism through improvisational practice. He has performed in numerous venues and festivals around the world including the U.S., Japan, Russia, Romania, Austria, Italy, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
