DNK-Amsterdam presents... a new series of public space performances. Putting performance art back in touch with the people of Amsterdam and at the same time reclaiming central city public space from the commercial sector.
"When is the last time you felt at home on the town square?"
We invite you to perform this classic text-piece with us on this most public of Amsterdam spaces. (Or simply come and watch this non-spectacle unfold.)
Michael Parsons' Walk is a, by now, classic composition notated in text rather than notes and using the human gait as material instead of musical sounds or pitches. The purity of people walking from point A to C to B and back to A perhaps...
If you want to join the performance: mail email@example.com for more information; or simply show up at 15:00 at the designated meeting point.
Meeting at 15:00 at the W139 art space (Warmoesstraat 139) to coordinate and rehearse.
Performance starts at 16:00 sharp on Dam Square.
(the circular part in front of the palace)
(Rain or shine!)
(Tao Vhrovec Sambolec in absentia)
and as many guest performers as we can assemble.
