Tombstones - Michael Pisaro (2010)

The Rest Is Noise teams up with DNK for a night focused on Tombstones by the American composer Michael Pisaro. This intimate cycle of pop song snippets distilled to refined ensemble miniatures, based on fragments of historical pieces of folk and pop music, was premiered in 2012 with the singer Julia Holter. DNK Ensemble combine with the renowned Berlin ensembe Konzert Minimal, to play their own arrangements of these special and flexible pieces.
